Some on non-silicon solar panels

nxgen

NXGEN offers panels in 140, 560, and 630-W models.

At the Renewable Energy World show in Tampa last month I got to speak with NXGEN Solar. The company offers high-output, non-crystalline solar panels manufactured in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

NXGEN says their panels from Off Grid Solar are more powerful, more efficient, and less expensive than conventional, silicon-based PV. Other features include:

-Nearly six times the efficiency of competing panels at 74*w per square foot (compare to 13.2 w/sf)
-Functionality for 9.5 hours per day, eliminating need for trackers
-Full-spectrum non-silicon absorbs 98% of the usable electromagnetic spectrum (compared to 40% from competitors)
-Smaller size than competitors at only 25″x49″ for 630w
-A functional temperature range of -300 to +600 degrees Fahrenheit
-Faster and less expensive installation than current technologies
-Lamination with the strongest available impact-resistant glass
A 56-year power production warranty
