Solar Power Plug-N-Go’s Solve Car Problems

With solar energy on the rise, electric vehicles are slowly using solar energy to supply some of the energy needed for some extra range.  The only real problem with this is the slow speed and low amount of power an easily transportable panel suffers from. A new portable, car-charging station may solve both of these problems within minutes. The Solar Powered Electric Vehicle Charging Platforms released byt SunPods are transportable, modular, integrated solar power platforms.

SunPods SP-300 EV Plug-N-Go™

The SP-300 is designed specifically for companies, institutions and public agencies who want a plug-&-play solar powered infrastructure solution for on-road electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and electrical industrial utility vehicles. The SunPods SP-300 is a rapid deployment system, ready to build a green power infrastructure solution for today’s electrical powered vehicles. Built with SunPods’ Solar Smart Technologies™ and designed as a solar appliance, the SunPods SP-300 is pre-engineered, pre-manufactured, and pre-tested in a rigorous factory setting to ensure optimal performance and delivered from our factory to your project, on your schedule, requiring minimal site preparation and no onsite array assembly. SunPods are ready to interconnect and power up on delivery, requiring only an electrician to make the connections.
SunPods SP-300 EV Plug-N-Go™ modular, integrated solar power platforms are engineered for either on-grid and off-grid installations requiring 110-480v, 50Hz/60Hz AC or DC power. In one configuration, SunPods SP-300 net-meters solar power back to the grid to offset non-renewable grid power. In another design, the SP-300 is equipped with the latest battery storage systems, providing optimal power storage and buffering between the electrical vehicle and the grid. The SP-300 is a bi-directional power system, allowing power input and output with both solar and grid connected power sources. Smart Grid capable, the SP-300 net-meters solar power back to the grid when the SunPod battery system is fully charged. In the future, as grid connections become Smart Grid enabled, utilities will be able to access and manage the SunPods stored energy at peak demand times.

SunPods scale from a single 2.4-kw power unit to mega-watt size centralized power farms. Self-ballasted, SunPods are built on sturdy G-90 galvanized steel platforms, engineered to withstand harsh environments and high wind loads. The SP-300 can be installed as a ground mount system or in parking lots or alongside buildings. Multi-SunPod units are required depending the number of charging stations.
